Rega P1 is a nice entry-level TT. A rega Elys II would be a nice cartridge for it, although many onthis board donot care for the Rega branded cartridges. A cheaper alternative, since don't know your outlay, would be a Shure M97 or another Ortofon - you may even be able to just change stylus on your Ortofon with an upgraded stylus. Audio Technica makes some nice entry level cartridges. Check out www.needledoctor.com for some choices.
