Cartridge for ATP-12T

I have a Technics SP-25 with an ATP-12T tonearm.  I am currently using a Denon DL-103, and it is a really nice combination.  I would like to try another cartridge that would be a step-up from the Denon -- something that digs a little deeper and extracts more detail.  My budget is around $500. The ATP-12T is a heavy arm.  I am having a hard time finding lower compliance cartridge options that would work.  Any thoughts?

I had this table and arm for about a year. The cartridge that I enjoyed the most was an older Nagaoka. Mated well and tracked well. You could get an MP300 for around $500. I would think this to be a superb combination.
Cartridge weighs 8g, yet should be able to track around 1.5 without issue. 
Just took a look and came back to edit post.  I used a Nagatron 360CE.
