Canto General
Has anyone else heard this excellent, spririted, latin flavored choral piece composed by Mikis Theodorakis using selected poems from Neruda's "Canto General"? If not, I really recommend it. What a blend of passion, choral, percussion, driving rhythm.
I have a good version of the performance, though the recording (on CD) is just OK. I just looked at the disk. Wow - I think it was our old friends at Atma-sphere who put it together. Thanks Ralph. Anyhow, I'm looking for someone who has the following out of print version: BARBArossa EdBa 01302-2, conducted by Theodorakis himself. If anyone has leads, please email me. This is such a unique piece, I heartily recommend it.
