Can McIntosh MX135 be used with non-McIntosh amp?

The MX135 was inherited, and I'm embarrassed to admit I only listen to vinyl LPs, and occasionally, internet radio. So I'm only using the MX135 for a small fraction of its intent, and not sure if I want to buy a McIntosh power amp at this time. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated if you have a minute! Thank you!
