Cambridge Azure 840C Digital input problem

I used the Toslink Optical Digital Input to connect my Apple Express to use the Azure 840C DAC to stream music to my analogue amp and that worked fine for years. It stopped working after moving houses. I checked the Apple Express using the analogue output, also the Toslink cable emits light so I think that works.

Any clues?
