I don't know the answer, but I'm positive you can find it by contacting Bryston support and service. If for some reason that's not practical, what I'd do is take the unit into a hardware store, and they will help you pick out the right driver to open it.
Bryston BR-20 screws
I purchased a used BR20 preamp through TMR audio and was hoping someone could help me.
Everything seems to be working fine, accept the remote control will not communicate with the BR-20. I've been in contact with TMR and they contacted Bryston who I believe is sending out a new remote for me to try. I still think there's possibly an issue inside the unit, since when I move the unit around I hear a loose part in there. I was asked by TMR to unscrew the cover and see what I could find, but I'm not sure what type/size screw head it is. It looks like a allen key or a tork head, but they are very tiny, and I don't want to use the wrong size and strip the screw out. Any help would be appreciated !

Hey Mike, Thanks for the response I actually called a local Bryston dealer, and They told me to go get a metric hex set. So I went to harbor frt and I ended up getting a 3 pack, metric, standard allen key, and tork. I Thought I had all my bases covered, but nothing fit either to big or 2 small or slightly different shape. I'm very frustrated to say the least lol |
@danny00032 ,To remove the cover on a Bryston BR-20, you will need a Robertson screwdriver, specifically a #1 or #2 size, as Bryston often uses Robertson screws in their designs. Please take a picture of the screws to your hardware store to ensure you get the right one. Maybe take your unit to your hardware store to ensure you purchase the right tool. Or, call any Bryson retailer and ask them You can purchase a Robertson screwdriver from the following options: |
