Bryston BP6 vs Benchmark HDR

Currently have the Bryston BP6 partnered with a Bryston 4B SST2 and using a Bryston BCD-1 CD Player. It's a great combo, but with computer audio on the horizon I want to have more flexibility with an outboard DAC.

Do you think the move to the Benchmark HDR would more of a parallel move from a preamp standpoint? Don't have any local dealers to demo the Benchmark.
