For normal CD's Redbook (PCM) replay, I would opt for the Gungnir/Yggdrasil, they are both R2R ladder Multibit and they convert Redbook more truthfully (bit perfect) than a Delta Sigma based Dac can do it, which the BDA-1 is.
Below is a link on DSD v PCM, dsd is done with delta sigma, in the article you will find that the Ladder Multibit betters the DSD (Delta Sigma) when they are A/B'ed doing the same Redbook cd music.
