Bryston 4BSST bridged = 7BSST monoblock?

Is the 4BSST in bridged mode electrically identical (signal path circuit topology) to the 7BSST? I noticed the published specs are virtually identical.

Elgordo is absolutely correct. I confirmed this with a Bryston tech when I was comparing both amps for a subwoofer application. The wattage might be close, but a bridged 4B ST won't be able to handle the very low impedance loads the 7B ST is designed for. Plus, the 7B ST should have much more current.
No. The 4BSSTs in mono are not recommended for driving loads of less than 8 ohms.
