Another compilation of the same flavor that you might want to try is a CD entitled Brazilian Romance (CCD-5200-2), one of the Jazz Moods series put out by Concord Records (Concord, CA). Nice performances and well recorded.

In the July '02 edition of JAZZIZ I came across an ad for a Brazilian Jazz sampler cd. It has 17 full length tracks from 17 different artist and the cost was $3.50, which includes S&H cost. Yup, $3.50! They probably do the sampler route because they don't have website sampling or to give the listener more music to listen to. Being fugal and adventurous, I ordered the sampler. It arrived in three days and I liked many of the artist on the sampler so much so I have ordered three of their cds. There are about 6-7 more I will explore further.
