Borresen Loudspeakers

Had the opportunity to attend the launch event of the Borresen X1 loudspeakers last night in Chicago @nextlevelhifi with @jays_audio_lab. From their M6 at $550k per pair all the way down to the newly launched X1 speakers last night at $5500 your ears will smile. Amazing what a 4.5” driver can do. If you are in the market for any price range speaker about $5,000 and up you have to hear these. Imaging is 3 dimensional, larger than life soundstage and just absolutely stunning performance with a look that will fit any room. This manufacturer out of Denmark really gets it and I don’t care what price point you are looking at these speakers will out perform speakers double the price.  If you are buying speakers up to $25k you have to hear their $11k option.  The rep for Borresen is hitting all the shows/events over the next several months in the US. Oh, and by the way, I loved the X1 so much I bought the first pair that will ship to me in early March!

haha....no, not for me thank you......When I go to a concert.....the music is not coming from behind me. Good luck to you. I spent the entire evening last night listening to my X-3's....I can't believe how "realistic" to the actual music these speakers are.

@gandalf .... Heresy IV's...Dahlquist 905's....Triangle Celius ES....JBL Studio 590 (great Rock speaker)....JBL Studio 390 (small tower)...Caintuck open baffle w/ LII-15 drivers...Jensen C-1's....Quad 21-L's....Alon ( Nola) Lotus Elite.....Mirage M-490's...Teckton Pendragon's ( love 'em)..Maggie LRS w/ risers.+ The Borresen     X-3's....OH , and a pair of LS3/5a's....any takers....My bedroom looks like a Speaker Shop.

@riaa_award_collectors_on_facebook OMG....I’m going on Audiogon today and I’m buyin’ 4 more pair just so I can claim back the title and lay waste to the competition.....there’s always a wise guy! LOL.....now YOU name what you got!

The cabinets are made in China but the Drivers and crossovers are all made in house in Denmark. They could never sell the X-3's "that beautiful work of art" for 11K if they made the cabinets in Denmark......the important stuff is ALL Borresen designed and manufactured in Denmark.

.. @woots... no, they are $5500 pr. The X-3’s that I own are $11,000 pr. That is a floorstander, and what a floorstander they are! It took 500 hrs. to break in those woofers... They produce a tight deep room-filling bass that is perfect for MUSIC.. . it’s not for home theatre use dummies.... it’s for the accurate reproduction of 2 channel MUSIC.... The Audio Group Denmark is on the forefront of the latest cutting edge technology in the audio industry.... Their rooms in Tampa were among the 3 best sounding rooms at the Tampa show last year.... along with MBL and ATC.... 4 what it’s worth, Steve Huff picked them as the #1 company in the entire industry for innovation and being forward thinkers.... some people on this thread show there sheer lack of knowledge about this company and their products. There are alot of wooden boxes out there with bloated bass in the 11K arena.... audition these before you speak and embarrass yourselves..... Congrats on your beautiful new X-1’s. ps. The X-1's and X-3's use the same ribbon tweeter that's on their more expensive speakers...vocals sound like a real person is sitting between your speakers. ADVICE:  Don't knock them until you actually hear them...you'll change your tune.

Borresen has managed to make a gorgeous speaker using smaller woofers , that produce fast tight punchy bass with a new composite material and do all that with multi 4.5 in. drivers. The folks that have actually heard them on this forum and others generally think they are a steal and a tremendous value. @11k for the X-3's. I would bet that 90% of the complainers here haven't even heard them or the X-1's. How can you say a speaker is no good if you have never auditioned it.....These threads are becoming more and more useless. I think I'll take a vacation from these AG Forums. ...Alot of people who have no idea what their talking about....yet act like they know it all.....It's becoming more and more of a waste of time. Congrats again op.....you made a great choice.

haha...the X-3's are the Liveliest speaker I've heard in years and I own them....I'm very familiar with the Qualio's and I like them a lot BUT They are definitely more laid back...The Borresens tell it like it is.

Well said.....Some of these posters are just plain ignorant and just trying to put down items that they know nothing about and never experienced. They start to get a reputation on AG for poo-pooing everything that's exciting for the rest of us. They are too stupid to realize that after a while the rest of us , that are here to experience  new items and new ideas, loose respect for any dribble they profess....and eventually they are laughed out of here and lose all credibility as someone who can actually add something genuine to these forums.

Aavik has a new integrated. amp (Axess) @ $5,500 that matches up nicely with the X series speakers....That's the one they use at shows. The X series is not dry...but...It's not big , fat and thumpy either. It's the first speaker that really gets me saying to myself,  WOW...every time I hear them. ( I have 12 pr. of audiophile speakers of various brands)

I also worked in a record store before cd's....Best days man....I love audiophilia...between work and this hobby...I'm lovin' life....MUSIC IS LIFE !!!!
