Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band in concert

Okay, he's 67 years old....he doesn't move like he once did....and his vocal range isn't what it once was,
...BUT Bob Seger and his band rocked the MTS Centre in Winnipeg last week.

It was 1975 the last time he was through town. He opened for B.T.O. at the time in the old Winnipeg Arena. So it was appropriate when he said, "It's been a loooooog time Winnipeg".

His band was tight! He had 3 long serving band members still with him - 1969 (bass player) / 1971 (sax man) and 1980 (piano player). And the drummer was Don Brewer of Grand Funk Railroad fame.

The biggest roar was for "Turn the Page" and the second biggest was for "Old Time Rock & Roll".
It was a very appreciative audience - mostly in their 50's, 60's and even 70's.
It was good to see some kids in the crowd too!

They wouldn't let the band go - 2 encores. They played their hearts out. The guy has a lot of hits and it was a great trip down memory lane and a nice night out with my wife - who was there in '75!

Thanks for the write up. He is one of the greatest performers I have ever seen. I saw him a couple of times in the early eighties and sometime much later out in Seattle. I read the set list at (setlist.fm ), and I love alot of the classics but less comericial tunes he is playing. (Rambling Gamblin,Come to papa,Sunspot Baby, Nutbush City Limits)
Glad you had a blast!!
