ive purchd more than a few, i think thyre just as good regardless fo the paranoia mongers have suggested. those mongers are likely to be in the industry that dont want us to enjoy CDs at the price they shoud actually sell for.. CDs are cheaper to produce and have way fewer returns due to manufacturing defects than LPs. the artists are not paid as much of the pie either. i say get them for the right price, buy the ones you gotta have right away form a store or on line. i also say buy used LPs for half a buck t $1 as often as you can, most of that stuff will never see the light of laser or LP reissue. yes, i buy new LPs too, the miles-gil set on MOSAIC ferinstance. sometimes we make mistakes: neil young/pearl jam-mirror ball. sorry neil butttttt, uhhhhhhhh, snore! now tom waits mule variations is another story. by the way, check out cdnow, they have vinyl when its avail. damn steely dan, they didnt take care of us. i would go back to colum in a new york minute if they would put me in their LP club. yes, it still exists but no new members. heheheheh, he said member, bevis. gotta go but i will return.
BMG & Col House: are they real?
Are the CDs from these clubs different in quality than the same recordings purchased in any retail outlet like Tower, Virgin, Target, Best Buy, amazon, etc? I notice they include a statement on the back "Mfd. for..." Everything from the inserts to the covers are the same. Are these different pressings?
