Great! Congratulations Neil, this sounds like a no-brainer purchase... Saga plus Ymer for, I guess, well below 10000Eu.

It could be great if you share with us some impressions soundwise.

Thanx in advance
Many years ago I chose an Advantage (Bladelius) S250 over the Krell that I compared it with. All driven with BAT pre-amps. It was an excellent power amp which I subsequently upgraded to Bladelius Grendel and finally Bladelius Ymer. Each was a substantial improvement over its predecessor, particularly the Ymer. With over 4kw of power available the way it can grip and control a speaker is awesome. Bass has incredible  drive and speed. At the same time it has a delicate touch, retaining texture and intimacy that can bring music alive in a very natural way. I hope that you enjoyed yours Neil!
I am very surprised that Bladelius has not marketed their products more strongly outside Sweden, so I'm afraid the Ymer is rarely available on the second hand market.
They for some reason never penetrated the US market. Michael Bladelius was hired by Nelson Pass when he was running Threshold. One of Michaels designs was the Forte 4A 50 wpc Class A amp.I owned one, a big regret that I sold it. He also worked with the guys that run CODA audio. I purchased a pair of Threshold T-50's from a former employee at Threshold. He had Michael modify both amps into Class A mono blocks. Still have them. His name are written on the back of both amps. It would be nice to see him getting a US distributor.
(((One of Michael's designs was the Forte 4A 50 wpc Class A amp.I owned one, a big regret that I sold it.)))I also heard that amp years ago driving a pair of little Vandersteen 1 Cs playing Bach Toccata in Fugue with amazing tonal quality and overtones. Best JohnnyR
