Obviously, you will have to tape off the un-used leads to make sure that you are not showing the amp a dead short across the speaker terminals. Sounds like you will also end up with two sets of spades at the amp end, you will also have to be careful of shorts at that end.
Bi-Wire and Single Cable Together
Is there any problem with running only one end of a shotgun bi-wire speaker cable to lower set of speaker posts, while running an entirely different single cable to the upper speaker posts? In other words, I will be running two different sets of cables to bi-wire posts, but using only one run of the bi-wire speaker cables and a separate single run. Thanks.
