Have you tried using the Oppo as your pre straight to the Parasound? The Oppo does have volume and a nice dac.

I have been using a Pioneer SC07 for a number of years and presently looking to upgrade my surround receiver.
In the past 12 months or so i have been replacing/upgrading everything. I have only recently replaced my Pioneer BD player with an Oppo 103 Darbee so i have that, a Parasound 5250 V2 driving updated Paradigms Prestige and a Cambridge CXN v2 streamer. Any suggestions on surround receivers.. (within 1-2,000).
