Best speaker a wife would tolerate

I HAVE TO HEAR GOOD SOUNDING EQUIPTMENT. MY WIFE JUST TOURTURES ME AND MY GEAR.
WHAT CAN A POOR BOY DO ? SOMETHING SMALLER WITH A SUBWOOFER . HELP BEFORE

She also likes the Thiel 2.3 and 1.5, but I don't.

They really need to be out into the room on metal stands and my wife has always disliked the look of metal stands. I have no idea how they sound but the small Final electrostatic hybrid looks very cute.
