Best of in new york

Just finished reading a thread on burgers here on gon, but most listings were from other parts of the country.
What fine things can be found in nyc.
As for the burger question: five leaves in greenpoint totally trounces all the other great burgers I have had in the past.
Other places worthy of mention: prime meats and franke's same owner in carrol gardens top notch, Rye in williamsburg top notch too. These are some of the best restaurants and they don't kill the bank.
Corallos on prince street has remained on the top 5 for me for 15 years.

If you like thai you'll love 'Pascalou'. Another first rate menu with attention applied to ingerdients and presentation. The ingredients are so fresh tasting you'ld swear they were just picked.
My favorite dish: malaysian curry shrimp, it's so good I eat it slowly to make it last.
Don't skip on the souffle it beats capsouto frere's souffle.
