Thanks Sweet_joe for Nana Mouskouri's name. How could I not know the Worlds most popular singer? I have found many wonderful female singers through the suggestions here: K.d.lang, Jacintha, Jennifer Warnes, Jane Monheit, Sarah Brightman. Anyone will knock you off your feet.

All of these are very good but try mine.... Tift merritt, Opera Babes, Cocteau twins, Sarah Brightman and the best all around is Julie London.
