Bel Canto versus Acoustic Reality

I have decided to try out a class 5 monoblock amp for my center channel. Initially I had my eyes on Bel Canto Ref 1000 (the old model). I can probably pick up a used single mono for around $700. However, I researched a bit and found there is a (brand new design) 600W mono by Acoustic REality (eAR 601 3G-WBT), which will come for $1100 from Denmark shipped (14 day return policy). This would be an interesting alternative. Any comments by anyone which would be the better sounding unit? Both are ICEPower module based. Not sure which module the Acoustic Reality amp uses though.
