Bass leaves after amp warms up?

I don't understand-after my Musical Fidelity M6i amp warms up for about an hour I notice the deep bass & kick drum aren't the same.
They sound less musical with loss of weight/depth.The notes are there but the moving of air have left.Sound is has much less impact and boreing.
I had the same problem with Bryston amp so there is no defect with amps nor with the rest of my equipment/
PSB Synchrony one speakers,AQ cables,Bryston CD Player.
My question has anyone heard similar & is there a plausable reason?

Anyone would like to hear the two versions please mention your email addresss
Thanks

I will send 2 versions of recorded song with what I feel if different bass output

Thanks
It sounds like you have about the same bass energy in both good and bad recordings. It seems to be the character or quality of the bass that is changing
Exactly!
I do have one of the bass plugs installed
No matter what I try the bass changes character about 20 minutes or so into listening.
This happens all day long so I really don't know what to.
The enjoyment of listening is comprimised because I'm waiting for the bass to go out.
Plugs have not solidifed the bass response after many attempts.
You may be dealing with the inherent shortcomings of the gear

I took that into account that is why I've tried over the last 6 months
3 amps,2 pair speakers and a partridge in a pear tree
I'll try the fan but it's hard to belive amp's too hot
There are no signs of heat
My Dealer is pretty good but I'm hopeing he lends the necessary amp or speakers I requested.
He knows something is causing the bass to change(he agrees after hearing the tape I made.
But has no logical reason, and is skeptical
I have request to borrow Musical Fidelity M6 250 dedicated amplifer from my dealer. That way I'll know if the amp or speakers need to be changed.
Hope he will lend it to me,I'll report back.
Did anyone listen to the 2 versions of Respect yourself by Staple singers that I set out?
You would hear one version has the right groove in the bass the other doesen't at all.
I just put a cd recorder in my listening position.
Recorded one when the bass was full then 1 hr.later when it was not..
One version gives the groove of the song while the other is lacking
The absolute difference is the "good" version has imputus, groove, the kick is firm w/deep bass that moves air.
All these contribute to an effect that stimulates the senses and you are rewarded with a connection to the music. When these attributes are muted the result is sound with no emotional resonance.

All this speculation has failed to resolve one desire:
To have the full dynamics I hear in my system stay without playing hide & seek/
On a positive note my dealer & friend @Audio Salon has agreed to lend a dedicated amp for me to compare.
Musical Fidelity M6 power amp/250 watts
Update
I have not turned off the amp when the bass has left.
I would return with the amp still on and the bass has returned in 30-60 minutes

Therefore the full dynamics come & go throughout the day
HI AL

What is the goal of what what you are discussing?
(which I don't understand)
Can I ask when you listen to both versions if one sounds more satisfying than the other?
I Listened to my system all morning and discovered what is changing in addition to the bass is overall dynamics & timing..When the sound changes the music seems to sag and it's hard to get into the music.
Like getting on an escalator and "riding" with the music/The second version blocks or prevents following the music in the same way.
Like being "out of sync"
So Weird
AL I petitioned my dealer to lend me a dedicated 250 w amp from Musical Fidelity.
Do you feel this will resolve the problem?

Musical Fidelity M6 power amp to be borrowed next week
After the sound drops out I leave the amp on w/o music playing.
I Return after an hr.or the next morning
Generaly the sound has improved by then-
For another brief listening session
Hello AL:
I re-recorded the two versions of "Respect youself" with the proper adjustments.
What is your email,I will send them to you.
Or anyone else that would like to hear good/bad bass versions(as they sound to me).
tonypoid@aol.com
I'm wating for confirmation from my dealer to send new amp.Obviously he would rather not.
3D bass sounds exactly what is leaving
When I haven't listened to music for at least 1 hr.
The bass is 3d sounding wide & deep
After about 30 minutes or so the music changes and bass looses full sound becoming anemic.
Also Dynamics have decreased.
Sound goes from robust to comprimised
What is the solution?
I expect to try Musical Fidelity M6 amp 250w next week
I also have someone coming over with SPL meter
In addition,CablePro Revelation power strip to try.
Otherwise I'm exhausted
Thanks to everyone
I will report back
"What was the most recent change to your system"?
Nothing,just a different cd player

Musical Fidelity integrated amp & phono preamp
PSB Synchrony Speakers
Rega P5 TT w/dynavector cart
Audioquest cables
I'm auditioning Meridian 508.24 cd player with my current setup. It's easy to think this player is just average when dynamics are not working. The sound changed after 15 minutes of being a great player with taut bass to sounding uninspired.
The bottom dropped out before finishing the same track.
Green River/CCR
I'm sure everyone can appreciate how disappointing this phenomema would be.
I will be trying Musical Fidelity M6 250w amp next week.If the problem is not resolved then it's time to part company with PSB.
Which I am very satisfied with when things are working.
Currently listening to Denon 1650ar cd player w/grado headphones-
I've been getting the music message this way.
I'm switching to Bryston separates w/Synchrony One's
If this don't work, options to try:
Different brand of cables than Audoquest
8ohm speakers @ Joseph audio
Differnt living situation
Thanks for everyone's patience w/numerous posts.
I've considered there may be a defect in my judgement.
I changed amp but previous two gave same result
I changed from PSB Synchrony II to one with same result
It effects all sources cd,tt,video

I added a phono preamp last but took that out with same results
The sound & bass are 3D even hollographic at times.
Watching a dvd is like being at the movies..Then the bottem drops out, sound is flat & 2D.
Someone said normal bias allows music to get better when warmed up.
I feel my amp draws additional power & my speakers being 4ohms are a mismatch.
This may be important:
I took out the power conditioner yesterday & my system has not had the usual bass/dynamics drop out:
I have pluged everything into the wall before,of course.
But this time I had the power conditioner unpluged from the wall.
Question:
Could the line conditioner have been robbing dynamics even if no components were pluged into it?
I'll know in a few days if the sound continues to stay dynamic or not.
Can anyone recommend Yamaha paired w/PSB Synchrony one's or is Musical Fidelity pre/prx much better choice?
I must have tried w/o conditioner pluged into the wall but not sure.
It's too soon to know if this is the problem but seems to be on the right track
I'm Exhausted with this nonsense and mabye am waisting everyones time.
I ordered cablepro revelation power strip from Gene rubin audio.
This has no filters switches or fuses in it
I need the convenience of 8 outlets
Are you familar with this product?
yes,send it back..
I'm sure I tried the system w/o conditioner more than once.
I don't understand why dynamics seem to be regular this time.
About 36hrs
Sound has now changed again..
This will be my last post till I have a solution.
Thanks
Open letter to Dan @ Modwright
Hello Dan:
Thanks to Kristin as well
I have a long standing problem where bass is anemic sounding along with the rest of dynamics.
All of a sudden the bass comes through like a flood and the system sounds great. But it comes and goes throughout the day.
I have no explination & have changed eqiupment all year with the same result
Question
My speakers are 4 ohm and there is some debate on audiogon that these are difficult to drive.
Is that why your integrated amp doubles into 4 ohms
I currently have in my audio setup:
PSB Synchrony one speakers
Meridian 508.24 cd player
Rega P5 Turntable w/dynavector cart
Musical Fidelity M6i integrated amp 200 watts w/Kimber PK10 pc
DVD,TV w/cablew/
Audioquest comet speaker cables,biwire
Audioquest columbia interconnects RCA
Cablepro Revelation Power strip w/kimber PK14 pc
We designed the amp to double-down into 4 ohms because we wanted it to have TRUE power, capable of driving MOST ANY speaker. I wanted a beautiful looking and sounding integrated with POWER and available dig. and analog options to make a no-compromise integrated solution.
Thanks and in look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Dan W.
OP is still here
I placed order for Bryston Seperates but the 2.5 amp is not available for 3 months so I cancelled..
I am going to audition Yamaha a S-2000 integreated amp from Amazon with return privilige..
Next choice will be Musical Fidelity pre/prx
After that I will get rid of Synchrony one speakers for Legacy or Joseph audio.
I currently have no amp but listening with headphones to shm-sacd recordings on Sony XA5400es
Which Integrated are you referring to Yamaha or Musical fidelity pre/prx?
I don't know what you mean by Class D
Does that stand for Digital?
That was the Audio Reseach I was lookning at but decided against it
Yamaha is not Class D

http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-A-S2000BL-Natural-Stereo-Amplifier/dp/B001L19FBC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370555103&sr=8-1&keywords=yamaha+2000+integrated
The MF pre/prx are 250watts in 8ohms
Would expect that's enough watts to drive synchrony one.
Others have good results with just 120w
The AA Power 1 mk.3 integrated is 200 watts into 8ohms
I paid $5000 new w/phono from distriubuter for a show demo open box.
I have 15 day test drive w/return option & no restock.
Although shipping both ways using fedex air w/insurance would be around $400
I chose this amp over Musical Fidelity pre/prx also Modwright KWI 200 & yamaha s2000
The amp arrives Wednesday-
I will post first impressions soon after
High damping factor for perfect speaker control
What does this mean?

listed under features of amp I'm about to audition
Set up AA Power 1 mk3 this evening with 2 hrs listening.
First impressions suggest it's a world class amp built to high standards/expectations.
It's difficult to know how the amp will sound after more hrs.but hope deeper bass will be apparent.
Fine acoustial tambers, clean articulate with liquid midrange.Classical sounds best so far and the phono stage is quite good. Also the headphone amp sounds excellent.Tomorrow will give further insight into the amps potential.
Looking foward to hear the amp open up more
