Basis SA9 vs SAT CF1-09 or LM-09

Has anyone had an opportunity to compare this Basis arm with either of these  Swedish Audio Technologies arms??

converge

@converge , that is a tall and very expensive order. I do not know of any dealer that has them both set up. From a design perspective the Basis has the most interesting bearing design. All of them should perform well as long as the records are perfectly flat. None of these arms are neutral balance and none of them have their vertical bearing down at record level.  The SAT arms play the part well from a looks perspective. I would not buy any of them even if price were not an issue. Well designed pivoted arms include the Reed 2G, the Schroder CB, and the Tri Planar. More exciting are the Reed 5T and the Schroder LT. These are pivoted tangential arms. The Schroder LT is shear genius. It uses  magnets and the frictional force of the stylus in the groove to motivate the arm. Friction pulls the arm forward and magnets keep the arm pointed in the right direction. Because both the Reed and Schroder are straight arms, without any offset there are no skating forces. Tracking error is negligible.  The Reed is $20k and the Schroder $12k. My ultimate rig at this point in time would be a Dohmann Helix One with two Schroder LTs mounted.
