Basis or Kuzma VTA tonearms fitted to Thorens TD 125 turntable

While these arms offer excellent performance, are they adaptable to older vintage tables such as the venerable Thorens TD 125 Mk II? Primary concern would be constructing and placement of the armboard to allow for VTA adjustment, as the tower apparatus may make it impossible to achieve, given the additional height of the structure. Anyone with experience of this retrofit is most welcome to engage.

I had the Vector 3, which replaced a Graham 2.2. With The Koetsu, I preferred the Graham. I have only heard the Kuzma 12" VTA arm. IME, it sounded warm and bloated. I'm assuming something was amiss, as the Kuzma arms are said to be dead nuts neutral.
I have a 4PT on a Luxman PD444.  The tricky part with a vintage TT is that the platter may be too thin.  You'll need at least 1 3/8" from the top of the arm board to the top of the platter.
The Basis has the same pivot to spindle distance as a Rega. I would lose the dust over when playing records
