Yes the balanced output on some DACs and DAPs is only 4.4mm. So to use with my home system I would require a 4.4mm to XLR such as this one from IFI.

But I require a 1.5m connection. I know you can connect XLR cables together but I prefer not to. Hence why I was hoping there was a high end cable manufacturer that offered these connection options.
