Best to call AVA, thats a good price, but, that model has been upgraded, additionally there is a T8 (tube) that is about that price but is supposed to out perform the older T7

I am looking to get this preamplifer with the phono option. I can get a used one for $1130.
Do you have any experience with this?

How is the phono stage?
Can I do any better for these money? (For me is VERY important the phono stage - I would say as important as the line stage).
