audiophile USB/ Thunderbolt adapter options?

Hi all,
My digital front end is currently an older MacBook Pro streaming Tidal via a Curious USB cable to a very nice sounding MHDT dac. I really like how things are sounding, but I’m ready to upgrade my laptop to something newer. Looking at newer MacBooks and they all only have the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. 
Will using an Apple adapter with my Curious USB A/B cable degrade sound quality?

I loathe the thought of selling and buying new cables, but don’t know if I have other options or not.
