I replaced my transport a few weeks ago and it cured the "no CD" problem. However I have a new problem. Both channels have no output even though the drive is working properly and I get a good lock on toslink and coax digital inputs. A couple of times I was able to get it to work by cycling through the channels but now even that doesn't work. Did you find the service manual and schematics? If anyone has some suggestions I would sure appreciate it. I've owned this player for over 20 years with no major issues until now. Had the drive replaced in 2011 by a shop in Arizona that is now shut down but that's it until this year.
AudioAero Capitole Mk2
My audio engineer has tried replacing the Phillips transport with a new one in my AudioAero Capitole Mk2 but the same fault "no CD" still reads on the display. I have been in touch with Vermeer Audio, the UK ex-agent and directly with various Audiogon members non of whom have been able to help. I'm seeking to find the service manual / schematics / test points for the unit so my engineer here in New Zealand can test the values. The chip installed is version 5.3. Can anyone help please?
