Audio Mirror Tubadour V

Can any of the Tubadour owners tell us about their experiences with the Audio Mirror DAC's and how they stand up to the Lampizator DAC's and other DAC's like a holo audio, Denafrips etc.

I have the AMT V since January 2024, but I have never had the others mentioned in the question. If you want to know something specific about it, I'm ready to help.

Ok, there’s a few points for basic understanding - the reliability is rock-solid (I’m using it every day), the tubes are really good, I tried WE 417A/5842 famous tubes via adapter, but returned to its original ones, their tonal balance just felt right.

To me the AMT’s sound is perfectly tuned, organic, fatigue-free, and detailed without artifice. I never once tempted to switch it to something else - it just works. All I can say the AMT is that rare piece that disappears into the music, and if you want a DAC that prioritizes soul over technical stuff, then this is the one you want.

The support is top notch, Vlad is always available, even on weekends.

Almost forgot - I swapped the stock 6Z4 rectifier for a Soviet 6C4P-EV. It’s very cheap on ebay.

@scp ,  I got them by accident. I was looking for an extra set of tubes for the AMT when the seller also had those rectifiers. Subjectively, the sound became tighter and more detailed; objectively, they’re better built and last longer. The 6Z4 blackened within one month of use.
