Audible differences between speaker cables?

I'm a newbie to speaker cable issues. My analytical side says that there shouldn't be much difference from one type or brand of cable to another (given that they are low enough resistance to provide a high damping factor). Nevertheless, there are some strong opinions to the contrary. What audible differences are there from one type of cable to another?

I just had an opportunity to try out Nordost Valhalla 2 Speaker cables , and i would never have thought you can gain so much from a speaker cable. Its like getting a new pair of Loudspeakers or a new amplifier.
I was really amazed on the gain from that speaker cable.
Ohh i think its worth to know that my Integrated Amp. is the Accuphase E-470 and loudspeakers are Focus Audio FS.788
My speaker cables are usually Yter used in bi-wired configuration ...
and i was just waouuu...from just a loud speaker cable you can gain this much.
