Attention Texas 'Philes

Hello,

Audiophiles are harder and harder to find these days. For the past week, a few of my 'Phile friends and I have been trying to organize a little listening party for anyone in Texas who wants to attend. So far we've gotten a GREAT response from the Asylum, and now I'd like to invite all of you.

Brian DiFrank of Whetstone Audio has gladly agreed to allow the use of his shop for this reason. Whetstone is a GREAT little shop in the heart of Austin, TX, and offers perhaps the most laid back atmosphere of ANY store I've been to, audio or otherwise. He carries a great deal of high-value gear including Creek, Naim, Krix, Audiomat, VDH, Reynaud, Neat, DH Labs, Rega, Dynavector, Vectuer, and Roksan. He's being very gracious in letting us use his store, but I think he's excited about getting to meet some fellow Texas 'philes as well.

The idea is just a casual party on Saturday, the 26th of January. Bring your discs (or LP's, as Brian much prefers :) ), a piece of your system you've been dying to hear with a different setup, and we'll provide the drinks.

If you are interested, please e-mail me at hueske@mail.utexas.edu and we'll put you on our mailing list. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Thanks to everyone who responded by e-mail. I've got about 20 people interested so far, and the number keeps growing. Should be a great time! It's about time us Texas 'Philes banded together! Cheers!

Brian
I won't be able to make it, but for anyone in the area, I recommend you give serious consideration to this invitation: Brian is a first-rate guy who knows his stuff - helped me out with a somewhat finiky installation earlier this year -

(Brian - the Naim ARO and Aromatic are *great* - Have a great Christmas/New Year)
