ATC SCA 2 preamplifier review

Perhaps fully discrete Class A hand built says it all.  Inserted into my system and it took off with so much more energy, dynamics and defined bass response through ATC 50 actives.  All of what I was expecting, hoping for.  The design, more than 30 years old.  Who cares.  May not be for everyone as it is quite live, not harsh, just very live.  I expect it to open up even more, but not mellow.

Replacing a still quite respectable Luxman C900u which has served well.  Cheers
