Arthur Salvatore WoW comments??

Anyone ever read about this audio critic? his site is at http://www.high-endaudio.com/ but for the real deal go there and scroll down to 'audio critique' and click on that link and you will not be able to stop reading. i recommend reading his 'philosophy' first and then his 'recommended components list' - although i know you guys will reverse that order; it was worth a try.
This guy has some very interesting things to say about audio and has really gotten hot and heavy with the top magazines and he's published his heated correspondences with them and you'll love it.
Please comment here after reading about this guy.

Reading from the top now, Slawney, this "voting" system is almost as good as Florida's was. Audiogon should excise the beast!
J_thunders, DON'T DO IT ...it will muck up the image, not to mention the soundstage...think it through first. And let us know what piece it is that you are listening to?
A.S. (an auspicious start to one's initials) operates a back laneway "store" (only open 1 day per week) in the "Beaches" area of downtown-the east-end Toronto and is an individual which I make it my mind to steer clear of.
And that's what I'm going to do with this "thread".
'Bye
CHUM FM 104.5 radio (Toronto) on the "Roger, Rick, and Marilyn" morning show this past week gave several definitions of the word "connoisseur"......an individual who obsessivly acquires an excessive knowledge about WINES, WATCHES and (lo and behold) AUDIO.....and this from Roger Ashby, Mr. King of Rock and Roll around these parts...listen to him on the internet on Sunday mornings...the guy is a conucopia, a "connoisseur", if you will, of music. Methinks that "connoisseurs" of anything are "off", "bent" and "detached"...but we like it! Selfish in the extreme, oftentimes to the detriment of other supposed priorities....don't I know it! In the end, music matters, and I am not ashamed. But then, I said that I would never again read this thread, and........
Slawney, just how does that ScanTech sound? In this world of black and white, are the blacks blacker ????? It must put to shame my lowly Sonic Frontiers SFP 1 Sig. But then I did say that I'm a LISTENER first...the latest is DEAD CAN DANCE..since I've worked out all of the old stuff that appeals to me and cannot afford any (more) Dylan or Van Morrison bootlegs. And Gregm, there is some good Italian stuff (Unison) and they DO know how to drink wine...but J_thunders had it right...I'd say this hobby is over-rated.
Albert has just now finally fallen asleep (gripping a Swissair flight schedule in his fist, I dunno?), and we're laying out for a giant AUDIO GARAGE SALE in the driveway.....we'll use the money to have another side of Canadian bacon sent down along with some kegs of brew.....y'all come.....this partay ain't over yet!
Albert, do NOT allow these characters to come to your party...I smell trouble. Besides, I think I remember Detlof now...didn't he STAR in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
Sadly, Arthur Salvatore's emporium called "High-End Audio" in the Beaches area of Toronto is CLOSING! I do not know if A.S. EVER read this thread, but that would not be the reason for closing. His location in a rear laneway and odd hours of availability rang the death knell some time ago. Apparently, according to an advert in The Toronto "Buy & Sell" weekly newspaper his last day will be October 10t, 2001. I'm sure this guy will be back.
Now it's becoming evident that the "flittchens" may be a test group for this wonder Swiss drug that Detlof developed (back to the wall and all) and is getting NO CREDIT for. And doesn't that explain why Detlof is always falling asleep? You know, overuse it and all that......? Send an envoy down to the patent office quickly to ensure that Detlof's claims are not stolen away by Arthur S. Get on the plane, Katherina, now.
