Yes, It fails on a number of accounts but it's worse failing is the tonearm. Unipivot arms should be avoided at all costs. For a cartridge to perform it's job correctly the tonearm can have only two degrees of freedom, up/down and left/right. Unipivots add a third degree destabilizing the arm add a torsional degree of freedom.
Ars Machinae Turntable - anyone has input?
I got offered Ars Machinae M1 TT but I can not find any info on the manufacturer. No reviews, no input anywhere... No one heard about them it seems. Maybe my GoogleFu is failing me or these guys are just that new. Price was $33K for TT and their tonearm.
Anyone has any input?
