Are new Mark Levinson Preamps better than old?

I have had a Mark Levinson ML 380 premap for 27 years, and am considering upgrading to a more recent model such as ML 523, ML 526, or ML 5206.  Has anyone heard both the ML 380 and any of the new models?  If so, how do they compare, and is it worth an upgrade?

I was using a 380S for nearly 20 years with great satisfaction.  I recently replaced it with a Primaluna Evo 400 which I find superior in the qualities of sound stage and musicality.  The only function I miss on the 380S is the ability to fine tune volume.  In this area it is unmatched.

I have not compared the 380 to the 380S so I can't comment on sound differences.  I have fully recapped my preamp about eight years ago.  Considering the unit's age and enclosed chassis a recap at this time is advised.
