I am not at all what you call an audiophile, whith two kids and a mortgage. I am connecting these to a Yamaha DSP-A1 that I bought 4 years ago, a pioneer elite dvd Changer and a Sony dvd player (dvp S7000, I believe). My room is fairly big, 20x18 with 10 foot ceiling and connects straight to a kitchen and nook area which is also about 12x18 foot right behind it. Thus, it looks like a BIG 32x18 foot room.
