Arcam Alpha 5 plus.

I recently acquired the Audio Note Cobra. Source is Aurender .  Out of curiosity I dug out my Arcam alpha 5 cd player from storage and connected it by RCA to the Cobra .  I was blown away. Period.  I believe it’s the TDA 1541 chip.  .  My Arcam is old and I’m hoping someone can advise on a similar sounding CD  player .
