Aragon 4004 MKII & 24K sp vs. Krell KAV-400xi

I have owned the mentioned Aragon components for years, all have served well. I am interested in change, as simple as that, but of course for the better in terms of sonics.

Would be interested in your opinions regarding the Krell being sonically superior. I would also request, if you would be so kind, to suggest other alternatives in an integrated SS. My price cap would be around 2k and a remote would be nice. Though I may be questioned, I really am not interested in Tubes.
