AR Reference 1 with balanced output a +4 ?

As the AR Reference uses balanaced XLR connectors can one assume the input out levels to be a +4 system as in the pro audio recording electronics. Normally I have found home audio gear runs at a -10 input and out levels.

Any one have any ideas?
