FYI... Mijostyn could be further from the truth. Apogees set up correctly with a nice front end of amplification and a good room will beat just about any loudspeaker available today. The larger Apogees with the qualifications stated above will offer a much more satisfying sound quality than what Acoustat, Magnepan and Analysis Audio offers. The Clarysis Robbon loudspeakers are an improvement on the Apogees but you will pay for that privilege dearly starting at $25,000 and up to $165,000 but they are truly spectacular. A rebuilt pair of Apogees would impress you immeasurably and there will be no fiddling or dark clouds that others are saying. They only say that because that is what they have read on forums, lol. If you want the real experience live music Apogee is a way to go. I've had my original SG pair for 27 years and they still play perfectly.
