I will do that I just hope the Lawyer doesn't cut himself on the package. It could get costly.
Anything You'll Likely Never Listen to Again?
Dear Friends:
Please check the thread on Home Theater, "An Opportunity to do Good." As you'll see there, your generous fellow Audiogoners have contributed a home theater system to a lady in Michigan who was paralyzed by a drunk driver. Our thinking is simple: If she can't go to the theater or to concerts, we'll bring the theater and concerts to her.
Even if you are not in a position to donate, I HIGHLY encourage you to read that thread. It will provide you with a large dose of faith in the human capacities for empathy, kindness and generosity ... which is SO important, especially in this time. What happened on that thread absolutely melted my heart. I am not too proud to tell you that some of the postings were so overwhelmingly wonderful that my tears of joy were difficult to stop.
The equipment end of things is complete. However, we still need donations of CDs and videos (VHS or DVD) for Leslie. I'm not asking you to part with music you still enjoy, nor am I asking you to go into your pocket to buy new. But if you have in your collection music and/or videos which you think you are likely not to listen to or watch again, then your donation of those items for Leslie would be most appreciated.
If you think you can help, please contact me via the e-mail link here on A'gon; through this thread; or directly at pfrumkin1@comcast.net. We're looking to install Leslie's sytem sometime in the first two weeks of August.
Best regards to all,
Paul A. Frumkin
