I recently bought a used D9 and have been listening to it. I have been in the audio industry for 30 years and have used speakers such as Proac respnse 3, BW Nautilus 804, and Focal Aria 936. However, after recently replacing them with Spendor D9, I don't think I need to upgrade any more. It is a perfect speaker with an endless sound stage, clear and crisp highs, and luxurious lows. It is a high-end speaker that provides true music appreciation, especially from classical symphony to chamber music and jazz. I am sure that the upgraded D9.2 will be no different. For reference, my equipment is Jadis JA 30 power, Jadis 30MC pre, Thorens 124 mk2 Turntable, and Jadis CD player.
