Anyone using a Monolithic PS-1/HC1B phono preamp?
I recently picked up a Monolithic PS-1 and HC1B psu to drive the SAE 1000e cartridge on my Kuzma at the recommendation of a friend with a good ear. The cost of entry was very cheap (sub $400) and this thing seems to be much more organic and tonally accurate then the Jasmines I've owned. It throws a nice stage and is pretty dynamic and engaging.
I know this pairing got some recognition back in the day, but it seems mostly forgotten. Anyone still rocking it?
