I may try tilting the speakers back to get the tweeters closer to ear level. My listening seat is relatively high resulting in the tweeters about 4"-5" below my ears. The speakers sit on suspended wood floors with Herbie's decoupling gliders under neath the spikes. I love the speakers! However, just wondering what different footers might do?

@elliottbnewcombjr - Thanks, I may give that a try. @ Soix - Thanks. I have looked at the Townshend stands and yes they are pricey! My funds at the moment are a bit constrained, so I have been looking at less costly options. When finances improve, I may pursue the Townshends. |
I’m in the process of ordering the Gaia III’s, but it will take a bit longer since my speakers use a different thread size than the stock sizes. Also, it looks like the Townshend's are a no go for me due to their rather large foot print (18"x21"). Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of a dedicated listening room. My system is set up in the living room and aesthetics are a very important part of the WAF. My wife has been (largely) supportive of my hobby and has a say on what goes into the room. Aside from cost, the DeVore’s were an easy sell because of their small footprint and impeccable finish, but the Townshend stands would disrupt that look. Oh, well. On the bright side, it will save me some money! |
