Anyone know what the approx. B+ voltages are on CJ Premier 8 mono amps?

I am considering a pair of these amps, but I have no idea just how hard CJ ran the 6550 output tube voltage.  The old GE 6550 tubes from that era were very tough and could be run at higher B+ voltages than many newer Chinese tubes can.  If the B+ is too much more than what a more conservative build night be (less than 500V), I think I will pass as 16 output tubes is not a small price for retubing.

Thanks for the reply sir.

Calling Jeff at CJ is the best option, but I am sure he gets beat to death with calls.  Just wondering if anyone here might know before I called CJ.

I used to have the prem 8s, don't recall the plate voltage but was not low. I would pass on any chinese 6550s or KT88s unless you are into fireworks. Would stick with either the Russian KT88s, GE 6550s or the KT90s.

I second calling Jeff at CJ.

Otherwise, post your question on the conradjohnsonowners forum.
