I currently have the Sonics Allegretto floorstanding speakers and, after owning LOTS of other brands (Spendor, Totem, Sonus Faber, Dynaudio, Living Voice, Ref 3A, etc.), feel they're the best-balanced I've owned. All the attributes I value are there, including soundstaging, magic midrange, great dynamics, and most of all, a very involving, emotional presentation.
I'd think strongly in the future about moving up the Sonics line and recommend the Allegretto, but admit that I haven't yet heard any of the other models. Joachim Gerhard came up with some great designs for Audio Physic and seems to have taken them to the next level with Sonics.
