anyone familiar with the Aune S10N Network Streamer Multi Player

Anyone have one of these units and are familiar?  How is the sound quality? This unit has AES and I2S outputs which would work nice with my Micromega M-100. Right now I use my Echo dot to Bluetooth my music to my amp which sounds good to me and is convenient but I'm considering adding a streamer to improve sound quality.

lanx0003, I just ended up getting a WiiM Pro due to the fact I can voice control it with my echo dot. And I've recently found out it has a 12V trigger which I now use to turn amp on/off ( sleep timer )with Alexa commands.

Forget about it.  A bit digging and found out that:

  1. The S10N can process 24/192 files, but its SPDIF output is limited to 44.1kHz—strange. Aune customer service responded: “Thanks for your time. We will consider that for the S10 Pro, but for now, the S10N cannot be upgraded. In fact, it can play 24-bit/192kHz files, but only outputs at 44.1kHz. Thanks for your time.”

  2. The S10 Pro version drops the FPGA configuration and uses an ESS DAC, which sounds sharp and "centered." You can work around this shortcoming by using its digital output with an external DAC. However, its benefit-to-cost ratio isn’t high due to its relatively steep price.

I know it's pretty late, but I'm reaching out to see if you've had a chance to get your hands on this during that time. I'm particularly interested in features like the 10MHz clock input and I²S output. I'm planning to connect it and the DAC using the XC1 to synchronize signal timing via the I²S connection.

Any advice or insights you can share regarding its sound quality and other attributes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
