Anybody ever hear Alon Exoticas?

I went over a freinds house and he had these little Alon Exoticas with ribbon tweeters. They costed about 10 grand new and they sounded pretty good to me but had a lot of base but they still sounded real nice and I was wondering if anybody else ever heard them on good amps because my friend only had Plinius and that sound I don't like IMHO. Thanks!

I auditioned them in Geneva Switzerland, paired up with ASL AQ1009dt amps. I was surprised how good the sound was. The owner of the shop said he had tried "everything" and liked those amps the best. They aren't called ASL there though... I think Alois or something like that. Anyway, impressive sound from impressive-looking speakers but I wouldn't want them. Arthur

They are simply too large and the imaging didn't seem all that great. The store was small and crowded so their postitioning may not have been optimal. It wasn't the best sound I have heard but why that is is anyone's guess.
