Any Spendor A5R Fans or not-fans out there?

I'm from Canada, and there's a local audio shop that always seems to have good prices on interest demos and trade-ins - if quick action is taken. I missed a pair of Reference 3a's and a pair of Harbeths.
They have a demo pair of Spendor A5R being cleared out ( The A5R is being phased out for a newer model)..I'm wondering who has had experience with these? Who loves 'em, who hates 'em and why?
As a gauge, the demos are selling for about the same price as a new pair of Totem Sky towers, which they also sell.
