Any RME ADI-2 DAC FS owners here?

Hej

I’m looking for a DAC for my headphone set up and have read some good reviews on the RME ADI-2 DAC FS. RME makes gear for professionals and that worries me because then the risk is that it sounds cold, analytic and dry. How about RME ADI-2 DAC FS?
Anyone that have had this DAC for a while?

I was quite pleased with my old Audiolab 8200CD, but it died when I unfortunately was led to push the ”self destruction button”. After more than a month trying to get help from Audiolab and their distributor here in Sweden I have understood that they don’t care about after sales service. So I have to buy a new DAC and a transport.

Thanks for the info @adg101.   I already have a nice Shunyata Digital Alpha power cable so I ordered a  C7 to C14 Adapter Cryo Treated from Take Five Audio in Canada.   Once that comes in I'll swap cords and if I hear a difference I'll then consider the power-supply.
@adg101, which model of power supply do you use and what cable?  Does the cable have the locking connector?  I find I get intermittent connection if I don’t lock the stock cable (which I didn’t know I needed to do until folks here pointed that out to me).

I’ve been tempted to try a power supply upgrade.
Have you seen the power supply upgrade thread on the RME forum?  It is pretty interesting...
