any members in Montana

I am interested in an ad posted from the beautiful state of Montana, but the seller is is not an expert and cannot say much about the state of the amp. If there was a member nearby Whitefish, I would make it worth their while to look at it for me. Thank you!

hi @shtinkydog it was a Classe power amp but sold already. Too many variables, I don't think it would have worked out...

@thecarpathian I am a good cook. Dancing, no so much. Now that I think of it, I don't have much to offer. I am good at making fun of you and @immathewj behind your backs but this isn't the best crowd for that devil

@immatthewj My neighbor is from Missoula, She'd be interested (more like I'd be interested) in all this Montana analysis. As a geographer, it's fascinating to me. It's the only part of the country I have not been to, but I sure would love to visit.

@bjesien I always found Burlington, VT overrated. There are a lot of college towns that are though.

Also. I always wondered why rural America, while so scenic with breathtaking nature is so depressing, abandoned and hopeless, etc. Nothing like central and Western Europe where tourism thrives in these areas.

thanks @immatthewj I thought you still lived there. My neighbor left about 30 years ago but still goes back once a year or so.

I heard that about Californians in southern Oregon. "those bastards drive up the housing prices". And in Utah. And Idaho. And probably everywhere in the West.  Except for Texas. Btw I can't watch Yellowstone either.

scary story @immatthewj but I very much enjoy your writing (where did it goi?!

I used to get in trouble at that age but survived it, luckily. It was mostly my fault being in the wrong place in the wrong time - knowingly. We are only young once...blush

Hi @immatthewj no worries I understand. This thread is now officially about Montana. All 12 people (16 including the ones who since have left) of the state may be mentioned but shall not be defamed...

I used to do crime mapping so I was painfully aware of homicide rates and where and what triggered them. And that's only reported ones. As I found out, increasing the police increases the crime. (More cops, more reports written - so no, not the actual crime, just the stats)

No, not Montana. I only worked on a few cities. Mainly San Diego, but for comparison, a few big cities (Seattle, SF, LA, Chicago...) as well

the accountant is travelling to the countryside.

He stops for a break and notices a shepherd with his flock of sheep.

He starts conversing with the him and offers him a bet.

"If I tell you how many sheep you have, will you give me one?"

"Yes, if you will pick one yourself."

The accountant looks around, he sees 100s of them but quickly comes up with "231"

"Yes" - says the shepherd. "Now you can choose one." The accountant spends a long time choosing and finally points at one.

"OK" says the shepherd, one more bet?

"Yes"

"If I guess your profession, I get the sheep back?"

"Sure"

"Accountant?"

"Yes! How did you know?"

"You picked the ugliest one."

you people have the time of your life and I still don't have an amp. "Thanks" for all the help!

seriously.

@thecarpathian I am looking at 2 Simaudio amps. Are you in FL snd/or CT? That's where they are. Anyone in CT or FL?

@thecarpathian no worries. That's a nice part of Connecticut, my favorite is Narragansett. (Yes, now I am renaming states, Gulf of the Woke....)

I will figure something out....

@bjesien that's pretty far from New Haven, 3 hours? But if you ever go to New Haven, I would take you up on it. I used to have all my friends in MA, but they are slowly abandoning me.
